There’s nothing more ladylike than a dress or top that has pleats. In my opinion, wearing a light and airy pleated piece feels special. So, you can imagine my excitement when I found out that pleated pieces are predicted to be big this year, especially in the spring. Capitalize on this trend by adding pretty dresses and lightweight tops to your wardrobe.
I have worn this trend two ways... the first is a metallic skirt from Topshop with a tee casually thrown-off one shoulder.... Which is another thing I feel every woman must have; a slightly loose white or black tee that can be sexily thrown off one shoulder. To keep the look very casual, I have tied up the look with White Zara Keds.
The second look is more formal and can be worn out for a date night. A beautiful rose gold pleated skirt from Asos that I paired with a backless Zara top, flurry sandals from Zara again, and a Chanel bag. The second variation is the same skirt and top with a full beige look, higher heels for from River Island for better poise and a Dior bag.
